Apparently this pitcher is rather rare as I've never seen anything else like it, not even marked like it - and I've been looking for about 4 years. As there is more than one Truro in the world producing ceramics, I'm not even sure where this is from Canada? England? Italy?

Obvious is the beautiful slightly off white (creamy?) and bright blue color. However, not obvious is the fact the blue pattern between the zig-zag lines is slightly impressed into the surface, the application of which leaves a continuous pattern all the way around of very fine, hard to see surface cracks in the same pattern. None of this affects the integrity of the piece and has had a zero effect on the inside. I've seen this pitcher for years and never noticed this feature until making this listing
.
Note here it's biggest fault - a small chip out of the pouring lip. I enlarged that detail so you could see it clearly but the enlargement makes the chip seem worse than it is review the above pictures to get a perspective of the chip's size. Without including the handle, the pitcher is basically about 5.5" high by 4" diameter at the widest point. On my computer monitor using 72ppi, the fullview pictures above are slightly larger than the original.
Another fault with this beautiful pitcher is a slight crack/chip in the top part of the handle which turns into a hairline crack across the handle where it attaches to the pitcher body. The handle is still attached and never broke off. It is in the attractive shape of a ram's head with a long beard, or some mythological figure such as the devil
The bottom's only mark is an impressed TRURO with the number "36" under it. Though very hard to see, there are what I think are a couple of narrow glaze runs down one side near the handle.
I haven't put a price on this pitcher at this time but plan to later.
